There are 3 materials can be used to product lollipop sticks. They are bamboo, plastic and paper. Now we talk about plastic lollipop sticks.
Lollipop plastic stick is made of food-grade PP. PP is transparent, but we can make colorful lollipop sticks by mixing Color Master Batch or pigment. Color master batch is better than pigment and of course it is more expensive.
The size of the lollipop stick is customizable. Usually, lollipop factory choose a proper size according to the shape and weight of the top.
Most of the customers will tell us the length and diameter when they make an inquiry, but they always forget to tell us the weight of it. In fact, weight is a parameter to measure wall thickness. The pp lollipop stick is hollow. If the inner diameter of the tube is 4 (4 is for illustration only) and outer diameter is 6 then the wall thickness is 1, which is 6 - 4 = 2 divided by 2, equals 1. We need to choose a proper wall thickness that not only can hold up the top but also save cost.
